Legislative Agenda

The budget for our legislators is $127.9 million.  $13 million pays their salaries, I have no idea what they're spending the other 90% on, but it's sure to be ridiculous.

Do you think wasting taxpayer money should be a full time job?

Every regulation passed on a business makes it less possible for you to open a new business.  Every subsidy given to one business takes money away from another business.

Do you want the government picking winners and losers and supporting businesses you would never support?

Our state spends $13,000 per student in public schools each year to have kids who can't read, can't do math, and aren't prepared to function in the adult world.  Our bureaucracies have failed us and our children.

Don't you think you should have a choice in your child's education?

Let's become the 10th State to eliminate the income-tax.  Our state collects $6 billion in income-taxes that gets spent on wasteful legislation like "plant a flower day."  They collect over $2 billion a year in gas taxes meant for infrastructure that is wasted on 8 men, doing the job of 3, supervised by an unqualified cousin of the county road commissioner.

Wouldn't you do a better job spending the $6 billion a year our full-time legislators waste?

Why am I running for the office

I am running for elected office because I see so much potential in our state being wasted. Politicians in Lansing insist on claiming that manufacturing jobs are going overseas. Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, and Toyota all built new factories in the United States in the last thirty years. Why not in Michigan?  Democrats think that charging everyone higher energy prices so that a few people can have jobs maintaining a windmill is a good idea.  Republicans don’t object on principle, they just think there should be a regulatory system in place before any wind has even been milled. Higher prices for energy and more regulation won’t attract new employers to our state. Liberty and justice will.
